Your text stays on your device

Font Generator converts text locally. The current version does not send entered text, copied text, clipboard contents, page addresses, browsing history, text hashes, or raw error messages to our analytics service. It downloads a font map from fontgen.summarizer.one. Local storage holds this map, a random installation ID, installation date, and rating prompt state. Text is not saved between panel sessions.

Anonymous product analytics

The extension sends product events through its own backend: install, update, panel opened, first nonempty input, successful copy, copy failure, and rating prompt actions. Events include a random installation ID, event ID/time, extension version, interface language and, where relevant, style identifier, sample/user distinction, normalized error code, or rating attempt. No entered or copied text is included. The backend forwards events to our self-hosted analytics system without sending the visitor’s IP as an event property. Network servers process IP addresses to deliver requests and enforce rate limits.

Optional uninstall feedback

The uninstall page may receive your random installation ID and version to connect voluntary answers to usage. Old links without an ID use a new anonymous visit ID. A selected reason or detail is sent when clicked. A comment is sent only when you press Send reply, up to 2,000 characters. Draft comments are not transmitted. This tab’s feedback is stored in session storage to support reload and retries.

Permissions and older versions

The extension retains its existing storage, activeTab, tabs and host permissions to show its in-page side panel and communicate with the project server. The manifest still lists localhost and Amplitude for compatibility; the current build makes no direct Amplitude requests. Older published versions may continue using their earlier analytics implementation until updated.
